Following victory over Australia in the semi-finals, the Lionesses face Spain in the grand showpiece finale at an inevitably packed Stadium Australia in Sydney.

The countdown to the final has started in earnest with the nations set to be whipped into a frenzy ahead of England's first Women's World Cup final in history.

The USA suffered an early exit in their hunt to claim an unprecedented third successive World Cup trophy, while Germany also fell sooner than expected in a highly competitive tournament.

A total of 62 matches have been played with just two more encounters to determine the champions and the order of those in their wake.
